NEVER JUST ONE THING.
I’ve never been just one thing & honestly, I don’t think any of us are.
I can love something soft & beautiful and still have a little edge. I can be figuring my life out & still be proud of how far I’ve come. I can have my shit together in one area of life & feel like a complete work in progress in another. Lmao.
& I don’t think any of those things cancel each other out.
That’s where DUALITY comes from.
The idea that two things can be true at once.
You can be soft AND strong.
Confident AND insecure.
Healing &/ grief are not linear.
A lover of beautiful things AND someone who occasionally wants to burn old memories/art.
We’re human. We’re complicated. We’re constantly changing. & I think that’s what makes us interesting.
I created DUALITY because I’ve always loved the contrast between things. Light and dark. Pretty and gritty. The feminine and the rebellious. The things that aren’t necessarily supposed to go together, but somehow just work.
And somewhere along the way, I realized that’s kind of how people are, too.
I’ve spent years working as a hairstylist, surrounded by creativity, self-expression, and people from all walks of life. I’ve always loved making things, coming up with ideas, and finding beauty in things that don’t necessarily fit together.
I’m also a mom, which means somewhere between raising a little human, working behind the chair, and trying to keep up with life, I decided it would be a great idea to build a brand from scratch. Lmao.
No big team. No fancy business background. Just a lot of ideas, late nights, trial and error, and a genuine desire to create something that’s mine.
DUALITY is an independent clothing and accessories brand built around contrast, individuality, and everything in between.
A little bold. A little unconventional. Sometimes sarcastic. Sometimes just something I thought would look really fucking cool on a shirt or a hat.
Because not everything has to be that deep. But sometimes it is.
I’m building this brand one design at a time, putting pieces of my personality, perspective, and creativity into something I hope other people can see themselves in.
You don’t have to fit into one aesthetic, one category, or one version of yourself.
You can change your mind. Change your style. Start over. Reinvent yourself as many times as you need to.
Burn it down. Build it back. Become whoever the hell you want.
Because life isn’t always one thing or the other.
And neither are we.
